Will the REMI Home Elevator fit a wheelchair?

Yes, our elevator cab can accommodate one standard wheelchair and another person standing. Weight capacity is 950lbs.

Does your price include installation?

There are 3 costs associated with purchasing a home elevator.

  1. The Equipment. The elevator itself. (Included in our Quote to you)

  2. Shaft Framing. Your builder or local contractor frames a shaft in your home that will accomodate our elevator. This is not included in our Quote.

  3. The Installation. We come and install your Elevator (Included in our Quote to you)

Does the elevator require maintenance?

Our high quality hydraulic unit can go for up to 20 years without maintenance.

There are no annual inspections or maintenance required.

However, many of our customers choose to purchase our extended service plan that includes a 3 year maintenance check and service.

How much space is required to install a Home Elevator?

The REMI Residential Elevator requires a 4 ft wide by 5 ft deep elevator shaft and an 8 inch deep pit to support the unit. We also offer a smaller unit that can fit in a 40 inch wide by 55 inch deep shaft space. A minimum of 8 foot high ceilings are needed on every floor.
